Multilateralism tool for defeating climate crisis, CS Tuya says

Kenya is keen to leverage her unique positioning as the environment capital of the world as host of UNEP to consolidate multilateralism as a tool for defeating the global climate crisis.

Cabinet Secretary Hon. Soipan Tuya today met  the Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Head of Environment Department H.E Dr. Ali Salajegheh on the margins of UNEA-6 at the UN Complex in Gigiri, Nairobi.

The leaders discussed opportunities to expand the existing bilateral pact between Kenya and Iran to elevate climate action as well as the two Republics growing geopolitical influence in environmental multilateralism.

The Cabinet Secretary was accompanied by Kenya’s Climate Envoy and President of the African Group of Negotiators (AGN) Mr. Ali Mohamed.
