Kenya and Norway share a deep conviction that nature-based solutions are the best bet for the global climate crisis, and are implementing similar interventions in their jurisdictions including restoration and protection of wetlands.
Cabinet Secretary Hon. Soipan Tuya today met her Norwegian counterpart Minister for Climate and Environment H.E Andreas Bjelland Eriksen on the sidelines of UNEA-6 which ends today in Gigiri, Nairobi.
The Ministers discussed the Nordic country’s invitation for Kenya to join the Nature Crimes Alliance and the country’s support for Kenya’s landscapes and ecosystems restoration agenda underpinned by the 15 Billion National Tree Growing Programme.
